On October 30, 2017 the Culinary Arts Program of Brookhaven Technical Center had the opportunity to tour Delgado Community College Culinary Arts Program. This experience allowed the students to see the students of Delgado Community College prepare in the labs, expose them to high demands and standards that are required in being a Culinarian, and it exposed the BTC Students to career opportunities that are developed from achieving a degree in culinary arts. This opportunity made me proud because this is my former college. Culinary is passion, an art, and requires determination. As the Culinary Art Instructor I felt it was necessary for the students to know that culinary art classes may start out with fifty students; as mine did, but only graduate 30 at the end.
