·         CANVAS Discussion for W - Read “Matter” excerpt from Molecules by P.W. Atkins.  List characteristics of the atom.

·         Assignment:  PV1-8

 

·         Review Sorting Out the Atom and PV1-8

·         Finish lecture to Waves and Light

·         What Does the Atom Look Like? Post-lecture –  composition

·         Begin Lecture/Guided practice – Waves/Light,  EMR spectrum (up to QM)

·         Assignment: Atom Wrk1: BF and PV9-13.

·         Review Wrk 1 and PV9-13

·         Lecture through Quantum Model of the atom

·         Construct an atom of Na listing the 4 QN for each electron as added

·         Review QM Summary Chart

·         What Does the atom look like? – post-QM lecture

·         Lecture/guided practice on neutral e-configs and orbital diagrams

·         Students do PV16-20.

·         AHL Wednesday - ChemMatters “Fireworks” article and reading guide.
