Mrs. Chassity Avants, RN
I am a registered nurse with most of my experience in Pediatrics, Labor and Delivery, and Nursery. I have been at BTC as the Health Science instructor for 5 years.

Program Specifics:
- Two-year Program
- Designed for students who are interested in becoming health care professionals
- Over the course of the program, you will obtain 100+ clinical hours and will have the opportunity to explore a variety of healthcare careers.
- These clinical hours are obtained by: trips to visit various clinics and Kings Daughters Medical Center, hands-on opportunities, and guest speakers from different professions
- If you complete Health Sciences I & II it will count for two sciences.
- You will become CPR certified
- All students are members of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) where they are able to go to compete in various areas that we study during the program.
