Automotive Technology students were recognized as BTC Spotlighted Students for the month of October.

HS 1 students participated in a mock surgery lab.

Sydney Hodges and Charmesha Wilson- third place with their presentation on a Clinical Psychologist. Katie Sproles and Ja’Liyah Miller - fifth place ribbon with a presentation on Neurosurgery, and Hannah Givens received a fourth place ribbon. .All students that placed will move on to State Competition. State Competition will be held in late March at the Marriott in Jackson, MS.

Polymer Science I and II recently visited USM's Department of Polymer Science and Engineering as well as Mississippi Polymer Institute in Hattiesburg.

Polymer Science I and II recently toured Westlake Chemical in Gallman. Students saw firsthand how PVC is compounded into useful formulations for a variety of end-use applications. Many thanks to Plant Manager, Andrew LaFontaine, and his staff for such an informative tour. We appreciate their investment in our students!

Polymer Science students were treated to a tour of Chemstar's Brookhaven manufacturing facility today, experiencing firsthand starch (biopolymer) modification processes, process control and automation, quality assurance, and customer end uses. Many thanks to Bill Barksdale, Production Supervisor, and Sam Werler, Corporate Quality Assurance Director, for spending the entire day investing in Brookhaven School District students.
